Tumor inhibitory effect of venom tumor inhibitory component I on human lung cancer A549 cells

Objective: To study the effect of tumor suppression component I (AAVC-I) on the proliferation inhibition and apoptosis of human lung cancer A549 cells. Methods: The MTT method was used to detect the 24h and 48h inhibition rates of A549 cells by AAVC-I at different concentrations.
HE staining and Hoechst33258 fluorescent staining were used to observe apoptosis from morphology; Immunohistochemistry was used to detect changes in BAX protein expression. Results: MTT showed that AAVC-I could inhibit the proliferation of A549 cells in a time- and dose-dependent manner. After AAVCI treatment for 24h, nucleus contraction, nuclear hyperstaining and apoptotic bodies were visible under microscopy. Immunohistochemistry showed that the average optical density value increased with the increase of drug concentration, indicating that BAX protein expression was correspondingly upregulated.
