The book “Chinese Agkistrodon halys” comprehensively and systematically arranges and describes the shape, classification and biological data of Agkistrodon halys in China. A total of 37 species of 9 genera of Agkistrodon halys in China are described. The book includes more than 200 color photos and hand-painted pictures. It fully reflects the latest research progress of Agkistrodon halys in China.
China Agkistrodon was compiled by Guo Peng’s team. Guo Peng is a doctoral candidate jointly guided by Zhang Yaping, academician of the CAS Member, and Zhao Ermi, a famous amphibian and reptile biologist. His research team has successively published more than 100 research papers related to Agkistrodon halys, describing one new genus and one new species, and reporting one new record genus and two new record species in China. It has solved some long-standing classification disputes and made important contributions to the study of Agkistrodon halys in China.
