In vivo experiments showed that thrombin like enzyme and plasmin from Agkistrodon acutus venom could significantly prolong the whole blood clotting time, activated partial prothrombin time, thrombin time and prothrombin time, and reduce the content of fibrinogen, but the effect of thrombin like enzyme was stronger, However, fibrinolytic enzyme showed anticoagulant effect only at a large dosage, and the combination of the two was better than their single use.
