Research progress of Agkistrodon acutus venom

Snake venom is a toxic liquid secreted from the venom gland of the head of a poisonous snake. It is an important natural animal toxin. Traditionally, snake venom is divided into nerve poison, blood circulation poison and mixed poison. Agkistrodon acutus is one of the top ten venomous snakes in China. Its venom mainly acts on the blood system, causing bleeding, swelling and local tissue necrosis. It has been found that Agkistrodon acutus venom belongs to serine protease, metalloproteinase and phospholipase family, and some proteins may belong to disintegrin family [1].
