Research progress of snake venom thrombin like enzyme

Snake venom thrombin like enzyme (TLE) is a serine protease of trypsin family, which has more conserved sequences with trypsin. It has arginine esterase activity, can directly act on fibrinogen, catalyze the cleavage of Arg2Gly peptide bond at specific part of fibrinogen molecule, release fibrinopeptide A (FPA) or B (FPB. A few alkaline thrombins were separated by cation exchange column, combined with gel filtration and affinity chromatography. Affinity chromatography is widely used because of its high separation efficiency and high sample recovery. Different purification processes are used, and the products obtained are also different. Guo Chunteng et al. [6, 7] obtained thrombin like components P3 and P4 from the venom of Agkistrodon acutus in Fujian by using different purification processes. Studies show that both have thrombin activity, but EDTA partially inhibits the thrombin activity of component P4 and completely inhibits the coagulase activity of component P3. Component P4 does not have the activity of activating factor
