Snake venom is a liquid secreted by poisonous snakes from their poison glands. The main component is toxic protein, accounting for about 90% to 95% of the dry weight. New drugs typically take 2-3 years to discover, qualitatively and quantitatively, and another 10 or 15 years for clinical trials, product certification and commercial development before they finally reach the market.
